Pricing Policy

We explain where our exchange rates come from, what makes up the spread, and the rules that apply when exchanging currency at Valuta.com.pl branches.

Last updated: 6 August 2026

1. General principle

ARIAN INVEST Sp. z o.o. (trading as Valuta.com.pl, KRS 0001004559, NIP 5213994406, REGON 523759467, Aleje Jerozolimskie 47, 00-697 Warsaw) buys and sells currencies at rates published on valuta.com.pl and on the boards at our branches in Warsaw and Kraków. The rate shown before the transaction is final — we do not add any commission, handling fees, or service surcharges.

2. How the rate is set

The buy and sell rates are made up of:

  • the current currency price on the interbank market,
  • the cost of sourcing and transporting cash in a given denomination,
  • the volatility and liquidity of a given currency pair,
  • the branch's operating costs and cash-in-transit insurance.

The difference between the buy and sell rate is the spread — the exchange office's only source of income. The more liquid a currency, the narrower the spread; rare currencies have a wider one.

3. Rate fluctuations

We update rates throughout the day as the market changes. Rates presented on the site are for information purposes only and do not constitute an offer within the meaning of the Polish Civil Code. The binding rate is the one confirmed at the moment the transaction is concluded, or the rate locked based on an online request.

4. 1-hour rate lock

After submitting an online request, the rate is locked for 1 hour. If you reach the chosen branch within that time and provide the 6-digit request code, we complete the transaction at the rate from your request — even if the market has moved against you. After the hour elapses, the current rate applies.

5. Wholesale rates

For larger amounts we offer more favourable wholesale rates. Terms are agreed individually — simply call the branch before arriving so we can confirm the rate and prepare cash in the chosen currency and denominations.

6. Valuation of banknotes and coins

  • The standard rate applies to circulating banknotes in good condition.
  • Damaged, taped, written-on, or torn banknotes may be valued lower or not accepted.
  • Coins and low denominations are priced separately, as they generate higher handling costs.
  • We check every banknote for authenticity in the customer's presence.

7. Payments and documents

Transactions are settled in cash; for corporate exchanges, bank transfer is also possible by prior arrangement. On request, we issue a purchase or sale confirmation. Transactions exceeding statutory thresholds require presentation of an identity document in accordance with AML regulations.

8. Complaints

We accept complaints by phone or in person at the branch where the transaction took place. We handle them within 14 days. The processing of data submitted in a complaint is described in the Privacy Policy.
