Currency exchange in Warsaw and Kraków: which currencies we handle
Valuta Exchange is an exchange office in Warsaw and Kraków. We do currency exchange in Poland for cash only, with no commission, and you can lock the rate online for 1 hour. Most people come for euro or US dollars; British pounds and Swiss francs come next. We also exchange the Ukrainian hryvnia, and both offices serve in Ukrainian.
For the neighbouring countries we have the Czech koruna, the Hungarian forint and the Romanian leu. Book the rate online and collect the cash at the office.
Going further? Turkey needs the Turkish lira, Dubai the UAE dirham, Georgia the Georgian lari and China the Chinese yuan. For Canada and Australia we have the Canadian dollar and the Australian dollar. The Albanian lek and the Qatari riyal are available only in Warsaw. Our Warsaw office at Al. Jerozolimskie 47 is a few minutes' walk from Warszawa Centralna station. Our Kraków office at ul. Starowiślna 42 is on the edge of Kazimierz, about 4 minutes' walk from Szeroka Street.

How does the 1-hour rate booking work?
After you place an order online, the rate is held for 1 hour and the booking code arrives by e-mail. You show it at the counter. Booking needs no prepayment or account and works during the office's opening hours. If you don't come, the booking simply expires.
What are the opening hours?
Warsaw (Al. Jerozolimskie 47): Mon–Sat 9:00–21:00. Kraków (ul. Starowiślna 42): Mon–Fri 9:00–20:00, Sat 10:00–20:00. Both offices are closed on Sundays.
Do you charge a commission?
No. Exchanging money with us is commission-free — you pay the rate shown on the website and at the counter.
Which banknotes and coins do you accept?
We accept banknotes in circulation. Coins are accepted at the cashier's discretion and valued separately on-site. Older banknote designs are accepted at the cashier's discretion, depending on their condition; rules for each currency are on its page.
When does the wholesale rate apply?
From 1,000 units of one currency in a single transaction: EUR, USD, GBP or CHF. Amounts in different currencies are not added together. For other currencies the wholesale rate is available on request.
Can I sell gold at the exchange office?
Yes. We buy gold bars, coins, jewellery and gold scrap in Warsaw and Kraków. We check the gold at the office and give the final price after verification.
